I have for sale my one half scale replica of an 1841 6pdr. The carriage is made of Oak with hand forged steel furniture.
The barrel was drilled and bored 2 3/16" from a solid shaft of 4045, then breeched with a 4 TPI threaded plug as part of the cascabel.
The touch hole is sized for friction primers. In this configuration it typifies a smooth bore muzzle loading gun. Loaded with blanks it makes an excellent salute gun.
Now take the barrel off the carriage, turn it over and replace it in the trunnion. Remove the cascabel and thread into place the reducing sleeve with th1 1/8" bore barrel with its own breech plug with separate fuse hole, locking the tube with a threaded ring at the muzzle. Install the Pendulum Hause rear sight and the tapered post front sight. It becomes an accurate little cannon that doesn't take much to feed.
A limber containing the small barrel, all tools, the sight, some powder, round ball mold and misc, odds and ends are included.
Now the best part the price: a modest $10,000.00. This price is not negotiable but I would accept firearms and/other tools as part payment.
If you have the means and a serious interest in owning this fine piece give me a call or email.
