Scott Spark 29 Comp for sale. Needs some work that anyone with some bike maintenance skills can handle. Here is what I know.
I think this is a 2012 but some parts do not appear to be original. I bought this bike about a year ago for my son after he outgrew his 24" bike and we weren't sure he was into biking enough to invest in something more expensive. This bike basically bridged the gap to allow him to grow a bit more. It was great for him and actually really improved his love of biking. I'm guessing the frame is a medium with 27.5" wheels. My son was about 5'4" and it fit him well.
Here are the issues I'm aware of:
Bottom bracket needs to be maintained. There is some resistance when you pedal.
Gearing actually shifts pretty well but needs to be adjusted to be perfect
Pivot bushing in the frame for the rear suspension appears to have been replaced with a bolt
Rear suspension needs more pressure.
Dent on top of the frame, cosmetic.
Bike has good bones and is priced accordingly.
