This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity that works well as supplemental income for someone who already has a flexible schedule, drives regularly throughout the area, or is looking for occasional independent field work.
ABOUT THE WORK
Assignments involve traveling to residences, businesses, and other locations to deliver legal documents. You will document your attempts using a smartphone and provide accurate information back to our office.
No prior process-serving experience is required. Training and instructions are provided.
Assignments are offered as they become available, and you can decide whether you are available to accept them. This is not a guaranteed-hours or full-time position. Current volume in these areas is generally a handful of assignments per week and will vary depending on location and client demand.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Applicants should have:
Reliable transportation
Valid driver's license
Smartphone with internet access
Strong communication skills
Ability to follow detailed instructions
Dependability and good judgment
Ability to work independently
Evening and weekend availability is especially useful because many people are easier to reach outside normal business hours.
Experience with process serving, courier or delivery work, rideshare, field inspections, property inspections, repossession, mobile notary work, investigations, or similar field work is helpful but not required.
COMPENSATION
Paid per assignment
Most completed assignments pay $50 or more
Additional compensation may apply to certain assignments
Compensation varies depending on location, assignment type, and requirements
No guaranteed minimum number of assignments
This opportunity tends to work best for contractors who can cover multiple communities or who are already traveling throughout the area.
