This week I had a guitar that “just sounded dead when capo at 2nd fret”. The dreaded dead tone of bad frets. There were obvious groves in the frets 2-7 but within the limits of a fret leveling. The customer was worried a refret was need and too costly. A good leveling, crowning, sanding and polishing made the frets like new again (pics). The Taylor is singing like new once again and all for less than half of the big box stores charge. Bob the Guitar Guy
