RARE HISTORICAL and DECORATIVE COLLECTIBLE FIND! This vintage 12-inch diameter World Series Globe is a classic piece of American cartography by LeRoy M. Tolman manufactured b y REPLOGLE GLOBES, INC. This specific model is highly regarded for its antique-style parchment-colored oceans, highly detailed political boundaries, and its raised relief texture that allows you to physically feel the Earth's mountain ranges. There is elegant, decorative scrollwork cartouche for the map legend, a dark red band for the equator, and multi-colored country shaded zones.

This globe was produced between 1976-1984 since it has Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) instead of Russia, Vietnam displayed as a single unified country, and the African country Upper Volta labeled.

Overall Dimensions: 17"H x 13"Diameter.

This Made in USA globe is calibrated with an aged brass/dark copper tone die-cast metal meridian that is attached to a round tiered, brown pedestal base. Spins perfectly and is in AMAZING CONDITION despite its age (no peeling or fading, not wobbly) as it was preserved in a closet all these years from a clean, smoke- and pet-free home.
