About the Role
We are seeking a caring, patient, and detail-oriented Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team in our Day Support. This shift requires an energetic and creative caregiver dedicated to ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of our individuals.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality, compassionate care to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Deliver support for individuals with actively participating in community outings and center-based activities.
• Maintain accurate, thorough daily documentation using the THERAP software system.
• Monitor individuals daily and safely manage behavioral or medical needs as they arise.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Experience: 6 months + Proven experience working with intellectually or developmentally disabled individuals who have specialized behavioral and medical needs.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Credentials: Valid driver’s license, willing to drive a 15 passenger van and current First Aid/CPR certification.
• Training & Screenings: Must pass a federal background check, complete behavioral management training, and clear a TB screening.
• Technical Skills: Comfortable with computer usage and digital documentation.
