We are looking for a Melt Technician who’s not afraid of hard work and heat. This is a hands-on role working directly with molten metal, induction furnaces and heavy equipment to keep production moving safely and efficiently. All safety wear is provided.
Job Duties Include:
• Work with the plant metallurgist to build and charge melts
• Weigh alloys and scrap for furnace charges
• Run coreless induction furnaces, pumps, and cooling systems
• Take molten metal samples and pour heats using overhead cranes
• Repair and maintain refractory in furnaces and ladles
Qualifications:
• Forklift certification or experience
• Safety-first mindset with experience around molten metal
• Solid math skills for charge calculations
• Comfortable using hand tools and industrial equipment
• Able to work independently or as part of a crew
