I have 8 containers of mini hens & chicks at $3 each container. (The containers are reused berry containers about 4" square.) They started as "rollers" in early July and are well-rooted. The first image shows a mature patch of plants in my garden. The second image shows some of the containers available as of 8/23. Posted on multiple sites.

Mini hens & chicks plants are perfect for the sunny fairy/rock garden. Mature plants are about 2.5" in diameter & will send up a bud stalk in mid-summer. This variety has pale yellow blooms. After the plant blooms it will die, but before doing so it will produce hundreds of babies that will appear on the mother plant & roll off to set down roots. The plants prefer very lean well-drained soil (sand or gravel). Rich, fertile soil is a death sentence for this plant. It also prefers to be crowded, like between rocks or in a confined space.
