About the role
Architecture design firm based in Maryland seeking an architectural intern for full-time or part-time support on federal and commercial design work. Must be available to visit job sites locally and in the DC metropolitan area as needed. Ideal for recent grad building portfolio, gain experience with real world design and construction projects and involvement across the full project lifecycle.
Scope of work
• Assist with schematic design, design development, and construction documents
• Model and draft in Revit and/or AutoCAD
• Produce plans, sections, elevations, details, and sheet coordination
• Support renderings, diagrams, and presentation materials as needed
• Coordinate with senior architect and respond to client feedback
Requirements
• Graduated from or currently enrolled in a NAAB-accredited architecture program (or equivalent)
• Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow drawing standards
• Able to work diligently and meet deadlines
• Portfolio showing design and/or technical work
Nice to have
• Experience with federal or institutional projects
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, ArchiCAD
