๐๐ฆ Looking for the right home for our Blue Iguana, Blue ๐ฆ๐
This is not a post I really wanted to have to make, but with us moving out of state, we unfortunately arenโt going to be able to take Blue with us. Weโve had him since June 2025, and he is a little over a year old โ probably around a year and a half now.
I want to be completely upfront about Blue because finding the right home for him is really important to us.
Blue is not bonded or imprinted on us, and he is definitely not a cuddly, handle-me-all-the-time kind of guy. ๐ We donโt handle him because he will let you know how he feels about it with his tail! He may have warmed up to us more if we didnโt have so many other animals around him, and I think someone who has more time to work with him one-on-one may have a different experience.
He is growing FAST and is also getting too big for his current enclosure, so whoever takes him needs to understand that he will need a much larger setup soon and eventually the space required for a full-grown iguana.
His current tank, stand, lighting and equipment are all available with him for a $600 rehoming fee or OBO
I would really prefer Blue to go to someone who has experience with iguanas or larger reptiles. Iโm not looking to just hand him over to the first person who asks. I want someone who understands their care, temperament, size, and commitment and can give him a good permanent home.
If youโre interested, please message me and tell me a little about your reptile experience and what kind of setup/home you would have for him.
And even if Blue isnโt for you, please share this post! Someone on your friends list might be exactly the home weโre looking for. ๐
