Host / Hostess | Di Edge Waterfront Bar & Kitchen
Location: Freeport, NY
Di Edge Waterfront Bar & Kitchen is seeking a friendly, professional, and dependable host or hostess to join our team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will help create a welcoming experience while keeping reservations and seating organized.
Prior hands-on experience with OpenTable is required. Applicants must be comfortable using the system independently to manage reservations, guest check-ins, seating, and waitlists.
Responsibilities include:
* Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
* Use OpenTable to create, update, and confirm reservations, review guest notes, and manage table availability.
* Seat guests according to the floor plan and server rotation.
* Manage walk-ins and communicate accurate wait times.
* Answer phone calls and respond to reservation inquiries courteously.
* Communicate special requests, celebrations, and seating needs to servers and management.
* Keep the host station and entrance clean and organized.
* Coordinate with the service team to maintain a smooth flow of guests.
Applicants should have:
* Previous restaurant hosting experience.
* Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
* The ability to multitask and remain calm during busy service.
* A professional appearance, punctuality, and a team-focused attitude.
* Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
