Like working on cars? We're a small, local auto parts business looking for a friendly, reliable person to help pull parts at self-serve junkyards in Fredericksburg and Stafford. You pick the days that work for you.
How the pay works:
- $40 for each trip
- Plus $10 for every part we can use
- Plus $25 for bigger-ticket parts (engine computers, newer truck radios)
- We cover your gas, yard fees and the cost of the parts
- You're paid the next day by Venmo or Zelle
Most trips are 5 to 8 parts, which works out to about $90 to $150 for the day, plus gas.
What you'd be doing:
We'll send you a short list of cars and parts to look for, mostly electronics like radios, instrument clusters and modules. You find the car, take the part out carefully, snap a photo of its label, bag and tag it, and drop it off with us.
What we're looking for:
- 18 or older, with a driver's license and your own car
- Ideally your own basic tools for removing parts at a junkyard (if not, we can help with that)
- Some experience with car interiors or electronics (dash panels, trim, plugs)
- Someone who takes their time and handles parts with care
It's part-time and flexible, set up as independent contractor (1099) work. Auto tech students are very welcome, and it's good hands-on experience.
Interested? Just reply with a little about your car experience, which yards are easy for you to get to, and a couple of days you're free next week. Thanks!
