Framed vintage 1970 "Setting the Pace". Artwork features a painting that was first created in 1910, this is a lithographic reproduction print on canvas with limited runs that were made. This piece is 1 of 250.
The artwork is by William Hardens Foster who was an early twentieth century painter, mainly known for his depictions of wildlife and hunting sport. He was also commissioned to do commercial art for Oldsmobile, DuPont, Missouri Pacific and Motorboat magazine. The piece is in aging vintage condition, and does have some slight visible water staining from the painting method. The back is missing most of the paper covering, and the wooden frame is made in Japan.
