This item is a vintage Chinoiserie faux-bamboo tea light lantern, featuring thick multi-faceted or "waffle" textured reflective glass panels and a removable bottom-loading candle holder.
Often referred to as an Asian pagoda style or Usubi lamp, these decorative candle lanterns typically date back to around the 1970s. They are designed so that when a tea light or small votive candle is placed in the lower cup and pushed up into the base, the textured glass cubes capture and multiply the candlelight into a beautiful 3D reflective display.
