Positions may be part-time depending on program enrollment at time of offer. The positions will likely develop into full time. Job description and Employee handbook available upon request. Core Qualifications (Director)
1. Education Requirements
You must complete 15 semester units (or equivalent quarter units) in early childhood education (ECE) or child development (CD) at an accredited or approved college/university, including:
3 units in administration or staff relations
Additional units in ECE/CD (e.g., infant/toddler development, curriculum, program management
2. Experience Requirements
4 years of teaching experience in a licensed childcare center or comparable group childcare program.
Alternatively, 3 years of experience + 6 additional semester units in administration
3. Credential or Permit Options
You may qualify with:
A Child Development Program Director Permit or Children’s Center Supervision Permit from the Commission on Teacher Credentialing
Additional Requirements
Current CPR and Pediatric First aid
Completion of on-line Mandated Child Abuse reporter training
Evidence of clear TB test
Ability to pass a Criminal Record Background check (fingerprinting)
Ability to pass a physical wellness screening within 30 days of hire
Proof of Immunizations for standard childhood diseases
