At the Koi Lagoon in Fort Collins, we sell firewood, pond plants and supplies, and metalworking projects, such as fire pits, signs, and other decor. New hires will be focused on FIREWOOD operations
Position: General Labor and Customer Service
Part-Time or Full-Time
Hours of Operation: Tues.-Sat. 9a-5p
Position Responsibilities:
- Process (load, cut and split) firewood using our wood processing machine.
- Stack firewood into bins for sale and delivery
- Sort out kindling and bundle pieces
- Drive firewood delivery pickup truck and dump wood at location
- Drive a pickup truck and dump trailer for larger deliveries.
- Use a forklift or mini track loader to move empty and full wood bins and load truck for delivery
- Move metal, pallets, and other things as needed
- - ALL MACHINE/PROCESSOR TRAINING PROVIDED
- Maintain the wood processor (greasing, cleaning, fueling, etc.)
- Maintain the wood processing area (raking, dumping scraps, etc.)
- Maintain other equipment as needed
- Pack and wrap firewood and kindling bundles
- General inside cleaning as needed (dusting, sweeping, mopping, etc.)
- General outside cleaning as needed (sweeping, raking, shoveling, etc.)
- Answer the phone/check voicemail messages
- Assist customers while providing a high level of customer service
- Check out customers using a Point of Sale system
- General office duties as needed (taking wood orders, Scheduling deliveries etc.)
- Assist other positions as needed (metal shop, etc.)
Position Requirements:
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Must have clean driving record
- Willing to work outside in extreme cold or heat
- Able to repetitively lift at least 30 pounds
- Willing to learn new things
Bonus Experience (NOT required)
- Forklift operation
- Mini Track Loader operation
- Using Point of Sale system for checkout
- Customer service
We provide work gloves, eye protection, and hearing protection.
Close-toed shoes required (steel toe/comp toe recommended but not required)
