Description
Meet the 2027 Kawasaki KX™65 in classic Lime Green—a pint-size motocross machine that looks ready to line up at the gate even when it’s parked. Built as a Youth MX bike with a lightweight feel, it’s the kind of ride that helps young riders graduate from “learning laps” to “let’s do one more” without skipping the fun part in between.
At its heart is a 64cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, 2-stroke setup with a reed valve and Mikuni carburetion (24mm)—snappy, responsive, and perfectly suited to the lively personality riders expect from a KX. Fuel it with regular gas with gas/oil injection, give the kick starter a confident boot, and it’s game on. The 6-speed manual transmission keeps things engaging as skills improve, while the chain final drive delivers that direct connection between throttle hand and rear wheel that makes riding dirt feel so rewarding.
The chassis is made to handle real track time. A steel frame keeps things sturdy, and the bike’s compact dimensions—62.6 in long with a 44.1 in wheelbase—help it feel manageable while still stable. With 12 inches of ground clearance, it’s happy hopping ruts and rolling over rougher sections, and at just 126.1 lb dry (132.2 lb wet) it stays friendly for smaller riders to move around and pick up confidence quickly.
Up front, a 33mm telescopic fork offers 8.3 in of travel with adjustable rebound damping, while the rear UNI-TRAK® setup delivers 9.4 in of travel with adjustable spring pre-load and adjustable rebound damping—so the ride can be dialed in as pace and terrain change. Aluminum wheels and Dunlop® knobbies (60/100R14 front, 80/100R12 rear) bring the bite, and disc brakes front and rear (both 180mm) help keep speed in check when the next corner shows up fast.
Finished with durable plastic bodywork, a one-piece vinyl seat at 29.9 in high, and that unmistakable Lime Green presence, this KX™65 is all about building skills, chasing laps, and having a blast doing it.
