Responsibilities
*Safely operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers and refrigerated trailers, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations
*Plan and execute efficient delivery routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize time and fuel consumption
*Load and unload freight manually or with equipment.
*Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT regulations
*Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips; report any mechanical issues promptly
*Ensure compliance with all safety protocols during manual handling, truck loading/unloading, and delivery processes
Qualifications
*Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record
*Minimum 3 years with license
*Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving within local areas
*Knowledge of refrigerated trailer operations, hazardous materials regulations, and logistics cargo handling
*Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and safely
*Familiarity with GPS navigation tools for route planning and navigation
*Experience with truck loading/unloading procedures involving freight
*Strong understanding of DOT and FMCSA regulations governing commercial trucking operations
*Excellent manual handling skills for safe load & unload activities
