I’m an educator with a decade of teaching experience in NYC. I offer private classes for College Portfolio Preparation to help high school students create a strong, organized, and personal portfolio that showcases who they are as students, individuals, and future college applicants.
Throughout this class, students will learn how to select and organize their best work, reflect on their academic and personal experiences, identify their strengths and accomplishments, and present their goals for the future. The portfolio will serve as a collection of evidence that demonstrates each student's growth, skills, interests, creativity, and achievements.
Students will learn how to:
Create and organize a professional digital or physical portfolio.
Select meaningful examples of their academic and extracurricular work.
Write short reflections explaining what they learned from each experience.
Identify their strengths, skills, interests, and accomplishments.
Research different themes and subjects that reflect their personal interests and artistic goals.
Develop an artist statement that communicates their creative process.
