I am selling my kid's Specialized Riprock 24 mountain bike. I am the original owner, purchasing the bike from Rock 'N Road Cyclery in Orange County. The bike has always been garaged and did not see the use that I had hoped, only hitting the trails two or three times since new. The bike has only been ridden around the neighborhood by a very cautious rider so the tires have plenty of tread, the hydraulic disc brakes don't squeak, and tubes hold air like they are new. The chain was recently cleaned and lubricated as well.
This is a fantastic first mountain bike as it allows your kiddo to get comfortable changing gears and learning how to master a hard tail bike without the complexity or weight penalty of a front fork with true suspension. For size perspective, this bike was step up from the prior bike, a Specialized Riprock Coaster 20. This bike retails for $799.99 on Specialized website (inflation is brutal!) so save your money and pickup my gently used bike for half the price. This color appeals to both boys and girls so I'm sure your little future MTB rider will be pumped the moment they start to peddle.
