The helix gear of current version uses hard resin material , it is very expensive and difficult to replace and prone to break when blade contacts hard material accidentally when cutting.
It is in working condition, just open gear housing and relube it. It comes with brush, grease, a copy of manual and a few used blade that can be used again after sharpening.
