A flower shop in Kew Gardens, Queens is looking for an experienced full-time floral designer.
We are looking for someone who knows the floral industry well and can confidently handle professional design work and take care of the daily responsibilities of a retail flower shop.
Requirements:
• Professional floral design experience
• Experience with weddings and events
• Must have flower shop experience
• Solid knowledge of flowers, greenery, plants, and proper plant care
• Reliable, well organized, hard working, and attentive to detail
• Creative
• Friendly, people person
• Weekend and major holiday availability
Responsibilities:
• Provide custom floral arrangements for everyday occasions, weddings, and corporate events.
• Help customers face-to-face and on the call
• Engage clients in design consultations to identify precise floral preferences and specifications.
• Handle and properly care for incoming flowers
• Monitor floral stock and daily inventory to ensure freshness and quality
• Water and take care for plants
• Keep coolers, displays, and work areas organized
• Support daily shop operations and handle general floral store duties as required
Compensation:
Salary will be determined by the applicant's floral design experience, skill level, and prior job responsibilities
