We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Plastic Waste Sorter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, separating, and organizing various types of plastic materials to ensure they are processed correctly for recycling. This is a hands-on position that requires physical stamina and a strong work ethic.
Compensation & Training
• Paid Training: $10.00 per hour during a mandatory 1-week training period.
• Starting Pay: $12.00 per hour upon successful completion of training and official hire.
• Contract Type: This position is independent contractor work.
Key Responsibilities
• Sort through incoming waste materials to identify and separate recyclable plastics.
• Categorize plastics by type, color, or grade according to company standards.
• Inspect materials for contaminants and remove non-plastic debris.
• Place sorted materials into designated bins, balers, or staging areas.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to [Insert Weight, e.g., 40 lbs] for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail to quickly differentiate between material types.
• Reliable transportation to the work site.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience in warehousing, recycling, or waste management is a plus, but not required.
