The parts for this guitar were sourced over time from different places — some from eBay, Reverb, and here and there.
This is a partscaster (PartsMaster?). The body is of is of unknown origin and the neck has a Fender logo/serial that appears to point toward something in the American Performer family, but I cannot verify the exact origin or authenticity of every component. This guitar plays and feels great. It has a beautiful Dark Night-style finish, low action, and a very comfortable. The neck is one of the highlights: smooth and comfortable, with polished frets, a hydrated fretboard, and a lightly smoothed/satinized back so it doesn’t feel sticky.
The tremolo unit and tremolo arm are both original Fender Classic Series parts. The tremolo feels super smooth and includes the locking button. The neck plate is also an original Fender American Professional Series part, and it fits the body’s contoured heel perfectly.
The bridge is generic but stable and fully functional. The tuners are Fender-branded and work well, but they would probably be one of the next logical upgrade points if someone wants to keep improving the guitar. The pickups are of unknown origin and have a Chinese marking on them. They work fine, but this would also be a great platform for future pickup upgrades.
The rhythm circuit works as it should. Please note that the rhythm circuit rollers sit slightly recessed, but they are fully functional.
The guitar is in great overall condition. It does have two very small dings that are barely visible.
