Duties
Deliver professional massage therapy services focused on sports medicine, orthopedic rehabilitation and injury recovery. Treatments may include sports massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, assisted stretching, and other evidence-based therapeutic techniques customized to each patient’s condition, recovery goals, and plan of care.
Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand individual concerns, physiology, and anatomy considerations
Develop customized treatment plans focused on sports injury recovery, pain management, mobility, and functional performance.
Communicate effectively with clients to explain procedures, gather feedback, and ensure comfort throughout sessions
Maintain accurate documentation of treatments performed and client progress in compliance with licensing regulations
Uphold the highest standards of patient service and customer care to foster trust and satisfaction
Stay informed about the latest techniques and industry best practices through ongoing education and certification updates
Qualifications
Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist in the State of New York
Current certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) - Required
Proven experience in massage therapy with a strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology
Skilled in various massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, sports massage, trigger point therapy, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments
Excellent client communication skills with an emphasis on patient assessment and personalized care plans
Ability to work independently while maintaining a professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment
