The Damascus treadle sewing machine with 6-drawer oak cabinet/table was produced by the National Sewing Machine Company for Montgomery Ward in the early to mid 1920’s. It was a treadle powered machine. Treadles use the operator’s feet to spin a wheel. Two drawers need to be repaired, and drawer pulls are missing. Belt also needs to be replaced.
