Anjali Baking Co. is looking for a dependable and enthusiastic Assistant Baker to join our bakery team in Ferndale.
This is a hands-on position supporting our Lead Baker with the preparation and production of pastries, desserts, and other baked goods for catering events and wholesale orders. Baking experience is preferred, but it is not required. We are happy to train someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, hardworking, and genuinely excited to learn.
Responsibilities include:
*Assisting with the preparation, baking, decorating, and packaging of bakery products
*Following recipes and production instructions accurately
*Measuring and preparing ingredients
*Maintaining consistent quality, portioning, and presentation
*Keeping the bakery clean, organized, and food safe
*Washing dishes, equipment, and baking tools as needed
*Labeling, storing, and rotating ingredients and finished products
*Helping complete orders accurately and on schedule
*Communicating clearly and working cooperatively with the bakery and culinary teams
The ideal candidate will:
*Be dependable, punctual, and ready to work
*Have strong attention to detail
*Be comfortable following recipes and instructions
*Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
*Maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced kitchen
*Be willing to learn new baking and decorating techniques
*Have a current Washington State Food Worker Card or be able to obtain one
*Be able to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 50 pounds
*Previous bakery, pastry, restaurant, or commercial kitchen experience is a plus, but we encourage motivated beginners to apply.
Position Details:
Approximately 20–30 hours per week
Schedule: Typically Monday - Wednesday, depending on volume
Pay: Based on Experience
