Georges Frederic Rotig (b.1873 / d.1961)
Georges Rotig was was born in Le Havre, France on October 1, 1873.
Rotig began his studies in Paris. His tutors included B. Constant,
J. Lefebvre and Jean Paul Laurens.
In 1894 Roetig began exhibiting at Salon des Artistes Frananais.
He gained much acclaim and was awarded several prestigious prizes and medals in 1902, 1904 and the Prix Rosa Bonheur in 1913.
He is represented in numerous museums around the world, and is especially renown for his animals.
