The Window Depot is a locally owned window and door sales and installation company based in Fenton. We are expanding and looking for dependable people who would like to learn the window and door installation trade.
No window installation experience is required. We are looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, willing to work, dependable, and interested in learning a skilled trade with the opportunity to advance.
We specialize in full-frame replacement windows and doors, including premium products from Andersen, Pella, Marvin and other quality manufacturers. We have year-round work throughout Southeast Michigan.
This is not just a general labor position. Our goal is to train the right person to become a skilled installer and eventually have the ability to run jobs and lead a crew.
What You Will Learn:
Window and door removal
Full-frame window installation
Preparing and repairing openings
Proper shimming and fastening
Flashing and water management
Exterior aluminum trim
Interior and exterior finish work
Entry door and patio door installation
Proper use of hand and power tools
Jobsite organization and customer service
How to eventually become a lead installer or crew leader
Qualifications:
No window installation experience required
Construction or mechanical experience is helpful, but not necessary
Willingness to learn and follow instructions
Comfortable using or learning to use hand and power tools
Comfortable working from ladders
Physically capable of safely lifting and carrying windows and doors
Valid driver’s license
Dependable transportation
Dependable attendance
Professional appearance and conduct
Ability to pass a background check
Strong work ethic and positive attitude
What We Offer:
Starting pay of $15.00 to $17.00 per hour with 90 day evaluation
Paid, hands-on training
Full-time, year-round work
