We are seeking a motivated and experienced Truck Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of commercial trucks to transport freight across local, regional, and over-the-road (OTR) routes. Your expertise in handling refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and hazardous materials will ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities
Safely operate tractor-trailers, including, flatbeds, tankers, and specialized equipment.
Plan routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery efficiency and meet scheduled deadlines.
Load and unload freight manually or with mechanical assistance, ensuring proper cargo handling and securement according to logistics cargo handling standards.
Comply with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules, and hazardous materials regulations during all operations.
Transport goods across various routes including over-the-road (OTR) driving routes while maintaining safe driving practices and adhering to DOT regulations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and inspection reports in compliance with legal requirements.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes, delivery schedules, or safety concerns.
Skills
Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on freight delivery across diverse routes.
Strong knowledge of truck loading and unloading procedures, manual handling techniques, and cargo securement standards.
Familiarity with GPS navigation tools for route planning and real-time adjustments.
Ability to operate various types of trucks including tractor-trailers with manual transmission or automatic options.
Knowledge of hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat) for the safe transportation of dangerous goods.
Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record and understanding of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations.
Ability to load & unload freight efficiently while ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Experience in delivery driving within logistics cargo handling environments involving specialized equipment like flatbeds or tankers.
