A contractor company is seeking an experienced Underground Construction Supervisor to oversee fiber optic installation and underground utility projects. This role involves directing field crews, ensuring job-site safety, and coordinating project logistics to deliver high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities:
• Crew Supervision: Lead, manage, and track the productivity of crews ranging from 5 to 20 workers, depending on the operation.
• Project Tracking: Monitor daily progress, document completed footage, and ensure projects stay on schedule.
• Compliance & Permitting: Coordinate municipal permits, formal inspections, and specific project construction requirements.
• Damage Prevention: Ensure strict adherence to underground utility identification protocols to prevent utility strikes.
Position Requirements:
• Equipment Expertise: Proven hands-on experience with Ditch Witch and Vermeer directional drilling and trenching equipment.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of fiber installation, open-cut excavation, backfilling, and general underground utility construction.
• Safety Leadership: Solid working knowledge of OSHA excavation requirements and a strict commitment to job-site safety.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
