Back in the day, this size table probably held a candlestick or sewing supplies, but I’ve used it as a bedside table. The single drawer’s front is curved with no drawer pull. When ‘Empire’ style was fashionable, cabinet makers in Upstate New York squared off the legs instead of turning them on a lathe. Overall size is 27” high, 18” wide and 16 ¾” deep. The drawer is 2 3/8” high, 13 1/2” wide and 13 1/4” deep.
This vintage piece probably dates to the mid-1800s. It is solid, but the top shows wear. We tend to leave things in their original state.
