Established commercial print shop in Farmingdale, NY is seeking an experienced Bindery Operator / Paper Cutter for a full-time day-shift position.
We are looking for someone with prior hands-on experience in a commercial print shop or bindery environment. Applicants should be comfortable operating professional paper-cutting and finishing equipment and working in a fast-paced production setting.
Job Responsibilities Include:
• Operating commercial/industrial paper cutters
• Cutting printed materials accurately to job specifications
• Setting up and operating bindery/finishing equipment
• Folding, scoring, perforating, trimming, and other finishing work
• Reading job tickets and production specifications
• Inspecting completed work for quality and accuracy
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area
• Assisting with general print shop production as needed
Requirements:
• Previous bindery and/or commercial paper cutter experience required
• Commercial print shop experience strongly preferred
• Strong attention to detail and measurements
• Reliable and punctual
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Able to work efficiently while maintaining quality standards
