Buses depart both ends of Cuenca collectively almost hourly throughout the day for less than one dollar. Also private drivers are locally available, if you want to be chauffeured for a $20 round trip. The bus from Quingeo can drop you within one block of Wayara Plaza, where there is MegaMaxi, MegaKywi, Sukasa and Fybeca. In Quingeo there is a surprisingly nice new restaurant (open Thursday thru Sunday), tiendas, pharmacys, assorted clothes, Western Union, you name it shops, free public health clinic and even a private doctor who makes house calls.
This 70 m2 casita was architect restored from an ancient adobe house to ultra modern luxury standards ,right down to fiber optic internet, heated floors, washer/dryer, convection oven, microwave, and a huge custom designed wardrobe with built in desk.
