****Extremely HEAVY****
This is the wooden base and structural body of a Hape Coral Reef Activity Center (specifically the "Original" edition).
It is a large, hexagonal children's play station designed for toddlers. Here is a breakdown of the visual features and functions visible on this specific unit:
🧩 Exterior Panels & Activities
• Ocean Discovery Wall (Front Panel): This blue-themed side features a vibrant underwater scene complete with coral, sea creatures, a submarine tracking path, and sliding wooden elements (like a mini sea turtle and fish) that children can navigate along carved tracks.
• Turtle Maze (Right Panel): A bright green and yellow sea turtle shell cutout that acts as a zig-zag tracking maze to help toddlers develop fine motor skills.
• Open Top: The large hexagonal opening at the top is where the heavy, wire-and-bead maze lid usually nests. The exposed inner brackets and metal hardware are designed to securely lock the top lid in place so it cannot be easily lifted or tipped over.
• The Bead Maze Lid: A large, wooden hexagonal cap fitted with complex, looping roller-coaster wire tracks and colorful sliding beads that sits securely on top.
