Pier 1 Mosaic Vase has a textured, woven-like or grooved body with colorful geometric square motifs. The neck and base feature zig-zag and tribal-inspired patterns in red, yellow, orange, purple, blue, green, and turquoise. The top rim is finished with a bright yellow gloss glaze.
The incised layout "7103/31" over "MADE IN ITALY" at the bottom represents a classic, decentralized numbering system used by regional Italian art pottery workshops throughout the mid-to-late 20th century.
Breakdown of the Numbers7103 (The Mold / Design Code): This 4-digit number acts as the catalog "DNA" for the pottery studio. It identified the specific plaster design mold used to cast the geometric faux-basketweave vase body so workers could replicate it identically.
