This is a vintage Samsonite Streamlite style 4635 suitcase made between 1940-1950 with the original Shwayder Bros, Inc Denver label on the inside…before they switched to just the name Samsonite. Please see photos for condition. This is a well traveled suitcase which I still used up to recently. There are scuffs, scratches, stickers, and age marks. The bag weighs almost 12lbs by itself. It’s missing the key, original hangers and packing bar (these were plastic and broke down over time). Amazingly, it has the original elastics! This piece is in the Burnt Orange color with a hard shell tapered design, brass tone working hardware and clasps, molded handle, and two interior dividers. It can still be used as a suitcase (I used straps to secure it because of how rough the airlines are) or use it as a prop for theater or photos. It is 24.25” in length, 18” in height, and has a bottom width of 8.25” and a top width of 7.”
