# EXPERIENCED PERSONAL INJURY CASE MANAGER – REMOTE / 1099 CONTRACT – 10+ YEARS PI EXPERIENCE

I am an experienced Personal Injury Case Manager with over 10 years of direct personal injury case management experience and nearly 20 years of overall legal-office experience. I am currently seeking remote, independent contractor (1099) opportunities with small personal injury law firms, solo practitioners, and attorneys who need an experienced case manager capable of independently managing pre-litigation matters with minimal supervision.
I particularly enjoy working with smaller firms and solo attorneys, where I can take ownership of my caseload, work directly with the attorney, and provide consistent, dependable support without the overhead of hiring a full-time employee.
I have spent much of my career working directly with attorneys, independently handling cases from initial intake through treatment, case development, demand preparation, settlement negotiations, and final resolution.

- Monitoring claim status and identifying necessary next steps
- Evaluating liability, damages, injuries, treatment, and available coverage
- Tracking deadlines, outstanding records, bills, and follow-ups
- Identifying issues that could affect case development or settlement value
**MEDICAL RECORDS & BILLING**
- Requesting and obtaining medical records and billing
- Reviewing and organizing medical documentation
- Monitoring treatment history and medical specials
- Following up with providers for outstanding records and bills
- Organizing supporting documentation for demand preparation
**DEMANDS & SETTLEMENT NEGOTIATIONS**
- Preparing comprehensive bodily injury demand packages
- Evaluating medical expenses, damages, liability, and available policy limits
- Developing individual negotiation strategies based on the facts and value of each claim
- Negotiating directly with insurance adjusters
- Evaluating settlement offers and communicating settlement positions
- Working toward maximizing client recovery
**INSURANCE & LIEN MANAGEMENT**
- Third-party bodily injury claims
- Property damage claims
- Medical Payments (MedPay)
- Medicare and Medicaid
- Health insurance liens and subrogation
- Medical provider liens
- Lien and subrogation negotiations
- Settlement disbursements
**GENERAL CASE & OFFICE SUPPORT**
- Case file organization and maintenance
- Insurance correspondence and follow-up
- Legal documentation and claim-related correspondence
- Case status updates and reporting
- Document management and organization
- Developing and maintaining remote case management workflows
- General pre-litigation support and litigation-related administrative assistance

- 10+ years of direct personal injury case management experience.
- Nearly 20 years of legal-office experience.
- Experience independently managing cases from intake through settlement.
- More than four years of successful remote case management experience with a solo law practice.
- Ability to work with minimal attorney supervision.
- Strong understanding of liability, damages, insurance coverage, medical treatment, and claim valuation.
- Experienced settlement negotiator.
- Strong client communication and relationship management skills.
- Organized, self-directed, proactive, and dependable.
- Comfortable taking ownership of cases rather than requiring constant direction.
I understand that every case is different. I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to case management or settlement negotiations. I evaluate each claim individually and develop strategies based on its particular circumstances.
