The Opportunity:
We're seeking a Packing Associate to join our Packing Department and help prepare Farming Turtles products for our customers.
The Packing Department is one of the final and most important steps in our production process. After our crops have been grown and harvested, the Packing Team is responsible for carefully preparing, inspecting, packing, labeling, and organizing our finished products for shipment and delivery.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced position where attention to detail matters. You'll work closely with other Packing Associates and the Packing Supervisor to ensure orders are completed accurately, product quality is maintained, food safety procedures are followed, and customers receive the quality they expect from Farming Turtles.
What You'll Do:
Pack microgreens and baby greens according to customer orders and Farming Turtles quality standards
Prepare salads, blends, and other finished products according to established specifications
Inspect products during packing and identify quality concerns before products are shipped
Work with the Packing Team to complete orders according to customer pickup and delivery schedules
Accurately label containers and prepare finished products for shipment
Follow daily production schedules and prioritize work based on order requirements
Complete Packing and Blending Logs and accurately record dates, batch numbers, quantities, and other required information
Communicate product shortages or quality concerns to the Packing Supervisor or Management
Restock containers, labels, boxes, and other packing materials as needed
Maintain an organized workstation and Packing Cooler
Move empty product bins to designated cleaning and storage areas
Clean and sanitize workstations, tables, equipment, floors, and other Packing Department areas
Follow Farming Turtles' established GMPs, SSOPs, SOPs, sanitation procedures, and food safety requirements
Assist other members of the Packing Team and other departments when needed
What We're Looking For:
A hardworking, dependable individual who takes pride in doing the job correctly
Strong attention to detail and the ability to recognize product quality
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment without sacrificing accuracy
Willingness to follow established procedures and food safety requirements
Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively with a team
Comfortable performing repetitive tasks throughout the workday
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Comfortable working in a refrigerated packing environment maintained at approximately 45–50°F
Reliable transportation to our Exeter, RI farm
Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn
No previous microgreen or farming experience? No problem. If you're dependable, willing to learn, comfortable working in a food-production environment, and take pride in producing quality work, we'll train you on our processes and standards.

Compensation & Schedule:
Starting Pay: $17.00 per hour, with opportunities for increases based on performance, skills, reliability, and additional responsibilities.
Regular Packing Schedule: Sunday through Thursday, approximately 8:00 AM–3:00 PM.
Flexible Employment: Part-time and full-time opportunities are available depending on availability and operational needs.
Growth Opportunities: Learn additional responsibilities within Packing and other areas of Farming Turtles as your skills and experience develop.
