I’m a man in my late 40s trying to rebuild my life after a lengthy incarceration. I’m not looking for sympathy — just a fair chance to work and move forward.
I don’t have a history of drugs or alcohol. I worked for the state for almost the full length of my sentence and showed up every day. Over the years I’ve picked up a wide range of practical skills — the kind of “Swiss army knife” experience that comes from doing real work in real situations. I learn fast, adapt quickly, and take pride in doing a job right.
I’m open to most types of steady work: warehouse, cleaning, shop help, office support, night audit, stocking, errands, or whatever else. I’m reliable, sober, and serious about building something stable and honest.
I am no stranger to technology, and I have a good education. I fit best in an office support capacity, with hybrid duties, such as shipping / receiving, warehouse, or similar. I also have extensive and unique legal experience, so I would likely do well as a legal receptionist, file clerk, or something like that.
I have a valid Pierce County food handler card, and extensive HACCP training for food service. I have Lean Manufacturing training for manufacturing or warehouse work, and three college vocational certificates in the computer field. I do have active supervision requirements, which means I have to report in person every so often, and it includes periodic drug testing. I do not currently have a driver's license, but I should within two months.
