Bauer Shipping Case, custom ordered by the big local airplane company, circa 2015, to secure a band saw for shipment to and from urgent repair assignments (AOG)
The case was custom built per the company’s specifications with:
Two removable doors/panels, front and rear, with integral rubber bulb seals
Recessed hardware (latches)
HDPE Ramp (i.e. High Density Poly Ethylene, or thick heavy plastic)
Fork lifting provisions/skids
Interior lined with 2” thick foam
HDPE interior shelving and base bolted to case
Automotive seat belts mounted to the base as adjustable tie downs
Mounted on casters by me
The exterior has battle scars consistent with loading and offloading on an airplane, but with no real damage
The interior is in barely used condition, still has that new case smell
The big airplane company paid over $3000 for these, way back in 2015
Exterior dimensions of the plastic case are 29” wide X 33” deep X 55” tall
65” tall as shown, mounted on the wheeled base
$400 OBO
Two cases available, $650 for both
The last three photos show the second case, with the band saw still secured inside. The band saw is also potentially for sale. It is a Jet, model JWBS-14OS.
