With more than nine years of experience across event management, nonprofit programming, performing arts, live entertainment, and guest experience, I bring a combination of strategic planning, hands-on production, relationship management, and calm problem-solving that allows me to turn complex event needs into successful experiences.
Throughout my career, I have managed events from initial planning and contracting through onsite execution and post-event reconciliation. In my role leading the Life Story department at Dignity Memorial, I managed a high-volume event operation with the capacity to coordinate up to 40 events in a single month, serving as a primary point of contact for clients, leadership, and internal teams. I coordinated venues, vendors, transportation, décor, security, registration, invitations, entertainment, staffing, floor plans, and event logistics while ensuring that each event met both client expectations and organizational standards.
I am particularly proud of my ability to create meaningful experiences while working within limited resources. I have negotiated with vendors and contracts, developed more consistent event-production processes, and implemented communication improvements between departments. These efforts contributed to nearly doubling annual Life Story department revenue from 2023 to 2024. I learned early in my career that successful events are not necessarily the events with the largest budgets—they are the events where thoughtful planning, strong partnerships, creativity, and attention to detail come together.
My nonprofit and performing arts experience has also given me a strong understanding of mission-driven events and audience-centered experiences. As an Event Coordinator with GLCCB, I coordinated vendors, volunteers, venues, timelines, activities, and logistics for Pride-related programming and fundraising events, including a featured game along the 2017 Pride Parade route that drew participation from thousands. My performing arts background includes directing a touring theater troupe, managing front-of-house operations at Everyman Theatre, coordinating live performances, and creating a private in-home performance for a terminally ill super fan. These experiences taught me how to balance the needs of artists, audiences, clients, volunteers, vendors, and organizational leadership while keeping the event moving forward.
What I would bring to your company is more than event coordination. I bring an ability to see the entire event ecosystem—from the first conversation and contract to the final guest departure—and identify what needs to happen, who needs to be involved, and where potential problems may arise. I thrive in environments where creativity and logistics intersect, and I am especially motivated by organizations whose events strengthen communities, support the arts, or advance a meaningful mission.
I would welcome the opportunity to bring my event-production experience, resourcefulness, and passion for memorable guest experiences to your business. Thank you for considering me. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss how my background could contribute to your team and upcoming events.
