This car belonged to Bruce Chaiet, a local handyman and court mediator who years ago went all the way up to Whitefish, Montana to buy it because he knew this was one of the best platforms Volkswagen ever produced. Unfortunately, Bruce passed away and the person who was going to get the car had health issues. He got most of the way through overhauling the engine, but it still needs to be finished up. This is the 1Z motor that has a new head, pistons, and bearings. Injection pump has also been gone through and may need to be adjusted still. Also comes with an AAZ block, lots of extra parts and hardware, more than enough to finish up the job and get the car going again. Comes with everything you see in the photos except for cart and engine stand. This is a smog exempt vehicle and only several hundred were ever sold in the US. If you know these cars, you know what they are worth in parts alone. Sold strictly as is, you must haul.
