This is a particularly nice example because it is completely original and unmodified. The original components are still intact, including:
• Original painted metal frame
• Original laminated wood footboard with textured/non-slip surface
• Original red/orange wheels with rubber tires
• Original metal hardware
• Original rubber handlebar grips
• Original paint and finish
• Original Community Playthings marking
The frame is marked “Community Playthings – Rifton, N.Y. 12471.”
This is a very sturdy, old-fashioned American-made scooter with a metal frame and wooden riding deck. It has a lot of character and would be a great piece for a vintage toy collector, Community Playthings collector, or anyone who appreciates vintage American children's equipment.
It has not been repainted, refinished, restored, or modified. The wear and patina are consistent with its age and use, and all of the original components remain with it.
I'm asking $200 OBO.
