I have had this couch for about 20 years in a nonsmoking house but with cats. Its comfy and in usable condition and looks brand new and nice if you use a couch cover but you should be aware that the cats tore up the right edge part and the lining under the couch was removed. Otherwise there are also some stains and other normal wear and tear. The structural integrity is great as far as I know.
