For sale, an antique horse racing print titled "The Winning Post" a painting by H. Alken, an English painter and engraver noted for his depictions of sporting events, notably equine, sporting and hunting scenes. His most prolific period of painting and drawing occurred between 1816 and 1831.

It was engraved by W. Summers in Paris and was published in 1871 by J. McQueen.

The condition is quite good. The frame appears consistent with the age of the print. It is suitable for hanging in its present condition. There is water damage to the frame and back paper but doesn't appear on the print. Please study the photos carefully and contact me with any questions
