Kitchen Multitasker ( current person in job is moving out of state ).
Term :
This is a seasonal position. In this case, it goes from mid October to early May… with paid 4 week vacation over Christmas Break 2026-2026 and paid 1 week vacation over Spring Break 2027

Bushnell University Kitchen, working for local food service / catering contractor… Ala Carte Foodservice Co
Position Hours and Days :
Wednesday 4pm to 8:30pm
Thursday - 4pm to 8:30pm
Friday - 4pm to 8:30pm
Saturday - 10am to 6:30pm ( paid 1.5hr break)
Sunday - 10am to 6:30pm ( paid 1.5hr break )
Approx 30 hour per week ( could grow to 40 if a good fit )
Position Description :
Preps salad bar and other general prep
Helps the lead cook get ready for meal service
Serves meals to students at counter
Periodic dishroom responsibilities ( whole crew, including chef, shares in dishroom efforts )
After-service cleanup and breakdown
Other prep & cooking tasks, general kitchen upkeep as directed by chef
Preferred Qualifications :
Two to three years in a restaurant or institutional setting, or smaller food service kitchens such as a sorority or fraternity.
Reasonably good knife skills
Is comfortable with commercial equipment
Works cleanly, organized and an attention to safety and sanitation
Golden rule personality ( ability to interact with coworkers and students with ease and courtesy)
Is okay with when the kitchen is on the warm side.
