LOCAL SPECIAL DEAL: This framed signed lithograph by Susan Pear Meisel is of BRENTANO'S BOOKSTORE/TIME SQUARE IN NEW YORK CITY. One of the most famous bookstores, BRENTANO'S BOOKSTORE, was opened in New York City in 1853, eventually becoming part of Borders Group, ending in bankruptcy in 2011. Before its closing, April 9, 1998, it was one of the locations for one of the final segments of the iconic "Seinfeld" sitcom. Meisel was commissioned by the government to produce art depicting landmarks in the US, like BRENTANO'S. The word "BRENTANO'S" was actually added to her original "Time Square" piece. I believe this to be a rare find. Meisel signed all her works in pencil; this one is not only signed, but, it is personalized to a friend that was living here in Eugene. If you LOVE TIME SQUARE, you will love this lithography!
Would like to sell it locally $400; I am open to reasonable offers.
