This is what telescope review web site Telescopic Watch has to say about the Celestron C6 SCT telescope: Celestron’s C6 XLT is one of the best Schmidt-Cassegrains in Celestron’s lineup and arguably the most versatile. It’s a travel scope, planet killer, astrograph, and works well for deep-sky viewing too.

This is an older model with motor drives to track stars and planets but no modern computer. It comes with a 6x30 optical finder scope, a star diagonal for comfortable viewing and two nice plossl eyepieces. The motor drive runs on four D-cell batteries. I usually get several months out of a set of batteries, four fresh Energizer batteries included. The CG-5 mount is easily capable of handling a bigger scope such as a C8 or a refractor. I'll also include the original instruction manual and the padded shipping box.

The computerized version of this scope sells for $1700 dollars, I've simply graduated to a bigger scope!
