Exact Staff is hiring for our client. We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented 2nd Ops Operator to join a growing metal fabrication team in Eugene, OR. This position plays a key role in supporting production by performing finishing operations, including grinding, deburring, drilling, and tapping fabricated metal parts while maintaining high quality and safety standards. This position is ideal for individuals with manufacturing, production, fabrication, machine operation, metal finishing, warehouse, or industrial experience.
What You'll Be Doing:
• Grind, deburr, drill, and tap fabricated metal parts to customer specifications
• Perform finishing operations while maintaining quality standards
• Inspect completed parts for quality and report inconsistencies to the supervisor
• Complete all required production paperwork accurately and on time
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production needs
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards
• Work cooperatively with production staff to meet customer deadlines
• Operate grinders, drill presses, finishing tools, measuring devices, and other department equipment
• Perform additional production duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred
• Experience in metal fabrication or finishing is a plus
• Ability to read blueprints and prints
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Basic math skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced production environment
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Willingness to complete required company training
Pay, Schedule, and Location
• Pay Rate: $20.00–$22.00/hour DOE
• Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
• Location: Eugene, OR

Hiring Requirements:
• Valid identification that proves your right to work in the United States

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions in a manufacturing environment
• Steel-toe boots are required
